I am going to attempt this whole blog thing :) but I just want to express the goodness and faithfulness of God to start off.
[Lamentations 3:21-24]
21 But this I call to mind,
and therefore I have hope:
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”
This verse was given to me multiple times by multiple people in the past two years of college. I feel like it is the verse God has given me to hold onto in this journey with Him. God’s love never fails and He is steadfast in faithfulness. A true friend encouraged me to meditate on the word “steadfast” when I was going through a rough time about a year and a half ago. I had never really thought of that word before then, but I loved it when I found it so many places in the Bible and really grasped its meaning. It means to be unwavering. God’s love is unwavering. God’s faithfulness to His people is unwavering.
These past few months, it has been incredible to really SEE God’s steadfastness in my life. When we step out faithfully with full trust and hope in Him alone, He never fails to place our foot where He wants it to be! He has given us the freedom to step out with Him, knowing that He has gone before us, and when we are in constant fellowship with Him, it’s easy to know what step to take!
I want to encourage you to step out in faith! God will not let you down! I promise. There are times when He feels far away, but I promise He hasn’t left you. Things do not always go as planned, but rejoice in that, knowing that God has a better plan! A better plan! Think about that: You thought YOUR plan was good, but God’s is BETTER!
Praise the Lord that God sent His Son to die on the cross so that we wouldn’t have to figure this life out on our own! He wants to live it with us! Now, go live!
